Hey 👋🏼 I'm Claire, the Founder of The mini recollective. I have a 2 year old that absolutely chews through clothing sizes. I genuinely feel like sometimes he fits clothes on the Monday and then by Friday he’s grown again. Of course that isn’t quite the case, and I’m exaggerating a tiny bit, but it’s very close.

I believe the best things in life shouldn't be costing the earth- literally. Little ones grow so fast, and I think the clothing they barely wear deserves a second (and third) life with a family who'll love it just as much.

That's why I created The mini recollective: a trusted, curated destination where parents can shop both high-quality and play grade preloved clothing (and little extras) for their babies, toddlers and kids.

Of course, the clothing needed to come from somewhere other than just my storage cupboards. So I welcome consignors who have finished with their kids clothing, to send it in and earn some cash from it. Put a little trust in me and I’ll try my best for you.

Our Mission

Fast fashion is one of the world's biggest polluters and I think children's clothing is one of the easiest places to make a difference. Kids outgrow their clothes incredibly quickly, often before they wear them out, which means there's a world of wonderful, gently used pieces just waiting for their next adventure.

We're on a mission to make shopping preloved and selling your secondhand goods feel as easy, joyful, and trustworthy as possible. Because choosing second-hand is one of the simplest ways families can tread a little lighter on the planet, not to mention on the wallet.

There's two parts to The mini recollective- Consigning & Purchasing

Consigning: Our model

Anybody can sign up to be a Consignor. If you've got mini clothing or accessories you no longer need, stored in bags or bins, we're here to help you!

You sign up with the online form
Purchase a Recollect Pack
Within 24 hours, you'll receive an email with your portal sign-in instructions
Your Recollect Pack is sent out to you, by us
Fill the Recollect Pack prepaid bag (instructions included)
Send it back to us
We take it from here

Every item that comes to us is:

Inspected for quality, cleanliness, and condition
Steamed and pressed for great photos and presentation
Photographed and graded honestly so you know exactly what you're getting
Listed with all the info, so it finds the right new home

Once your items have sold:

You get 60% of the sale price, we keep 40%
You can request a payout anytime, from your online portal

Purchasing : Our Condition Grades

We take the guesswork out of buying preloved. Every item is graded so you can shop with confidence

Brand new with tags: The item is unused, in original condition, and still has the original retail tags attached
Brand new without tags: The item is unused and never worn, but does not have the original tags attached
Like new: Appears new, with no signs of wear, or has been washed/dry cleaned and never actually worn
Excellent used condition: Pre-owned, but shows minimal signs of wear. It is well cared for, with no visible flaws, stains, or damages.
Very good used condition: Gently used with minor visible flaws or slight wash/wear, such as slight fading or minor pilling, but still in great shape
Good used condition: Noticeable signs of previous use, such as fading, pilling, or light wear, but still fully functional with plenty of life left
Fair/play condition: Heavily worn, with significant visible flaws (eg. small holes, stains), but still wearable
Distressed: Previously worn, with visible flaws and/or heavy wear, potentially suitable for repair or upcycling

We describe every item honestly and add photos and extra notes for flaws, because we know trust is everything when you're shopping online for your little ones.
